Dr. Julie Miesmer
Dr. Miesmer graduated from the National University of Health Sciences (“NUHS”) (formerly the National College of Chiropractic) in Lombard, Illinois in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. NUHS provides its students with a science-based curriculum focused on biology, anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.
After graduation, Dr. Miesmer worked as a chiropractor for a large multidisciplinary clinic in the Chicago Loop for four years before opening her own practice in 2004. Since then she has acted as clinic director for City Center Chiropractic and Rehabilitation where she has successfully treated and improved the health of thousands of patients, most of whom live or work in the Chicago Loop.
Dr. Miesmer is certified in Active Release Technique ® (ART®), which is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments. She has also completed three years of monthly classes towards the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board diplomate program. This program provides insight and training for the latest treatments in evidence-based rehabilitation techniques. Dr. Miesmer has substantial clinical expertise and comfort treating a diverse range of patients and their corresponding conditions while working closely with medical doctors, physical therapists, massage therapists, and podiatrists.
Dr. Miesmer has previously donated her time and skills to the community by volunteering as a team chiropractor for the Avon 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer and as an anatomy expert at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry's Body Worlds exhibit.

Dr. Julie Riederer
Dr. Riederer obtained her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from the University of Western Ontario before moving to Chesterfield, MO to attend Logan College of Chiropractic. Logan has established a world-renowned reputation for its academic excellence with its programs, faculty and facilities, as well as a strong focus on sports and rehabilitation. She completed an internship at the St. Louis VA Medical Center which gave her the opportunity to treat a diverse assortment of patients and their corresponding conditions while working closely with medical doctors, physical therapists and other pain management specialists.
Dr. Riederer practiced in the west suburbs of Chicago for four years prior to joining City Center Chiropractic in 2012. She regularly attends seminars on rehabilitation protocols, sports injuries, nutrition, chiropractic techniques and pediatrics. She is trained in Webster technique (for pregnant women) and Active Release Technique (A.R.T.).
Dr. Riederer’s pleasant and caring personality makes each patient feel comfortable and her expertise quickly gets them back on the road to a pain-free, active lifestyle. Dr. Riederer strives to be an example of good health for her patients. She regularly competes in running and multisport races. She has completed over 50 endurance events ranging from 5k running races to Ironman triathlons.

Karen Kim, LAC
Karen is a graduate of the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago and received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Illinois as well as a National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) certified herbalist. She is also a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS) and provides ear acupuncture as a part of a comprehensive model of care to help with addictions, PTSD, and behavioral health. She enjoys working with a variety of conditions such as emotional, stress-based conditions, anxiety, depression, digestive disorders, and women’s health. She believes in building partnerships with clients to promote their better health and optimal well-being through compassionate care to achieve an individual’s balance of mind and body.
